Happy New Year! I wish you all a productive and prosperous new year! Who missed me? I definitely missed blogging and y'all my virtual family! I'm sorry for the hiatus guys! What can I say? Life happens even to the best of us, lol! ... But I'm back now and "hopefully", there will be no break in transmission.
This was the look I wore to a dear friend of mine's wedding, sometime in December and I'm still totally crushing on it. I refer to it as the "Grecian Goddess"; because everything about the entire look is very reminiscent of those mythical Greek goddesses...
One glance at the dress, I knew right off the bat that whenever I wear it, I'd style it to look Grecian. Hence, the dress was the focal point of the entire look. The sheerness of the gold glitter fabric, the "mermaid style" of the dress and the intricate details of the chandelier around the neckline, definitely makes this dress a showstopper.
You will also notice I incorporated braids into my hair. It is called the "Goddess Braids" for obvious reasons. No other hairstyle would have better suited the theme of the look I was going for. The gold belt was added, not only to accessorize and to cinch in my waist; but it is also in sync with the grecian theme. Greek goddesses used accessories such as waist belts and arm bands.
I finished the look off with loads of bronzer on my cheekbones, a pair of green chandelier earrings and a gold bejewelled clutch.
I was literally dipped in liquid gold, and felt like a million bucks. I hope you like this look half as much as I loved it!
