The Perfect Eyebrows...

If you know a thing or two about me, you will know that I'm absolutely nuts about eyebrows. They say the "Eyes" are the windows to the Soul. I say, the Eyebrows are the Frame. The eyebrows do more than you think. Well-groomed eyebrows can make your face look thinner, younger, or even more sultry. Bad eyebrows or no eyebrows can make you look sick or even scruffy. If your eyebrows are properly shaped, you will not even need to wear much make-up, yet you will still look perfectly made up.

 Before I proceed, I need to explain that Eyebrow shapes are peculiar to the shape of the face. What I mean is, what would look good on someone with an oval face, would not necessarily look good on someone with a square face.

DETERMINE YOUR FACE SHAPE

Basically, there are six major face shapes. Beneath the various features, is the most ideal way to shape or pencil your eyebrows.

To determine your face shape, start by pulling your hair back, out of your face with no makeup on, looking closely into a mirror. The features to look for in each shape are :

OVAL FACE

* Forehead is wider than the chin

* Prominent cheekbones

* Considered the most ideal face shape. Soft angled shape is considered perfect.

ROUND FACE  

*Face is always as wide as it is long.

* Face is widest at the cheeks

* High arched brows to elongate the face and make it look slimmer.

LONG FACE  
* Forehead, cheekbones and jawlines are about the same width
* Elongated appearance
* Prominent chin
* Flat brows with low arch to open up the face sideways 

SQUARE FACE 
* Squared jawline is the most prominent feature

* Thick, sharp brows to help balance strong jawline.


HEART SHAPED FACE  
* Similar to oval, but chin tapers to a point
*Rounded arch to help soften pointed chin.


DIAMOND FACE
* The forehead is somewhat short
* The face is highly angular
* Face is widest at the temples
* Curved brows is ideal because it will soften your look and make the face seem less wide

So, now that we got the face shapes out of the way, This is the perfect way to shapen or pencil any Eyebrow regardless of the face shape. Forget what looks good on your friends, follow your natural brow lines, without trying to over raise or under raise the arch and with these easy steps, you will be BROWTASTIC in no time!

 STEPS ON SCULPTING THE PERFECT EYEBROWS...

* Place an eye pencil right next to the nose straight up to the brow line. That is where the eyebrows should begin.
* Looking straight into a mirror, look at the iris- the coloured part of the eye (black, hazel, blue, grey, green, whatever colour you have). Where it ends, on the right, is where the arch should be.
* Put the eye pencil at the end of the nose diagonal to the eyes. Where the pencil hits the brow line joining for the arch, is where the eyebrows should end.


TOOLS NEEDED
* Brown eyebrow pencil (light or dark brown depending on your skin tone. No BLACK please.
* Clear brow gel (Optional)
* Brow powder
* Highlighter (Cream foundation- a shade lighter or 2 shades lighter at the most)


Armed with these tools and carefully following the above steps, your eyebrows will be PERFECT!!
